Want to stay in and watch a show? Me too. I used to get excited to dress up and stay out late, but I won’t lie to you: Those days are over. Instead, streaming what’s new is now my idea of a good time. Heck, I even mark release dates in my calendar. What can I say? I love being a homebody.
With all of the streaming services now, it can be hard to keep up with what to watch and where to watch it. But, this month, the lineups are so good that you will want to ensure you have access to all of the platforms—or at least your friend’s passwords. These shows and movies are about to be the topic of conversation in The Everygirl’s #watercooler Slack channel, and I’ll be damned if I miss out on that.
Cancel your plans and get comfortable because it’s time to hit “Play.” Without further ado, here are some of the most anticipated shows and movies that are new on streaming this month.

Killer Sally

For all you true-crime lovers out there: this one’s for you, and it looks like quite the nail biter. This three-episode docuseries investigates the Valentine’s Day 1995 killing of national bodybuilding champion Ray McNeil, who was shot to death by his bodybuilder wife, Sally, who claims it was an act of self defense as a result of just one of many instances of alleged domestic abuse.

The sequel to the hit film starring the queen Millie Bobby Brown has finally arrived. Now a detective-for-hire just like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, igniting a mystery that requires the help of both her friends and Sherlock himself to get to the bottom of.

Reality real-estate shows are here to stay, and we’re here for it. The newest edition to this addictive genre follows a group of talented agents navigating the high-stakes world of luxury real estate in Los Angeles, California. Not to mention, the agency is ran by Real Housewives star Mauricio Umansky, so entertaining gossip and drama are pretty much guaranteed.
Falling for Christmas

What’s the best present we could receive this year? Ms. Lohan making her return to the big screen, of course. This new holiday rom-com tells the story of a newly-engaged heiress that has a skiing accident just days before Christmas that causes amnesia. After this diagnosis, she finds herself in the care of the handsome cabin owner and his daughter.
The Wonder

Yet another drama film starring the incredible Florence Pugh is coming our way. Set in in Ireland in the year 1862, tourists and pilgrims come from far and wide to witness a young girl who stops eating food entirely, but somehow remains alive and well. So, English nurse Lib Wright is brought to her tiny village to observe the eleven-year old named Anna O’Donnell and figure out how this reality is possible at all.

Even though it’s coming out in the peak of holiday season, this new show proves that spooky season is never ending, baby. This is the first time Tim Burton’s work has ever been made into a television series, and it tells the coming of age story of Wednesday Addams by going back in time to her high school days.

After taking a bit of a break from the biz, Jennifer Lawerence is back and better than ever. In this new film, she plays a military engineer named Lynsey who struggles to return to daily life after coming home to New Orleans from Afghanistan with a debilitating brain injury.

Limitless with Chris Hemsworth

If Chris Hemsworth is in it, we here at The Everygirl are gonna watch it. This doc-series follows Hemsworth on his own personal mission to stay healthy and strong as he challenges himself to discover the human body’s full potential through discovering new methods of maximizing strength, building resilience, and even supercharging memory with the help of experts along the way.

Oh yes, the sequel we’ve all been waiting for. Nearly 15 years later, Amy Adams’ beloved character Giselle moves to the suburbs with her husband Robert (still played by Patrick Dempsey) and their children, but have a bit of hard time fitting in. After turning to magic for help, Giselle accidentally turns the entire town into a real-life fairytale, and she must race against the clock to put everything back to normal.

Get your popcorn ready, because this one has some big time drama that’ll keep you glued to your seat. Granda comes forward about his entanglement with the couple and not only brings down their seemingly perfect lives, but influences the presidential election itself.

This highly anticipated true-crime drama is on it’s way to be one of the genre’s cult favorites of the year. “Welcome to Chippendales” tells the outrageously wild story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who unexpectedly became the founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire by capitalizing on the tide of new wave feminism—and was not going to let anything get in his way in the process.

While this film has definitely not gotten as much buzz as Styles’ role in Don’t Worry Darling, it’s been deemed an incredible movie nonetheless. Based on the best selling novel by Bethan Roberts, the dual-narrative story focuses on a heartbreaking love triangle in 1950s Brighton, England, as a woman named Marion and a man named Patrick both fall in love with Tom, a charming policeman caught in the middle of it all. Given the time period, an affair between Patrick and Tom is condemned, but their love is is so genuine that it makes breaking it off feel impossible.

This psychological thriller created by Jordan Peele will finally be available with a streaming service subscription this November. The film tells the story of two siblings running a horse ranch in California discovering something wonderful and sinister in the skies above, while the owner of an adjacent theme park tries to profit from the mysterious, otherworldly phenomenon. It offers super interesting political and social commentary that will leave you in complete awe.
